The Golden Bear at OCVIBE reimagines one of Orange County’s most legendary music venues for a new generation. Inspired by the history and cultural legacy of the original Golden Bear, the project drew upon photographs, memorabilia, stories, and personal archives provided by the original owner to capture the venue’s unique character and enduring spirit.

Working closely with OCVIBE and Smith Clementi Architects, Ripbang Studios developed the venue’s experiential storytelling, environmental graphics, and identity signage. The design translates the legacy of the original Golden Bear into a contemporary 300-seat live music venue and bar, creating an authentic experience that celebrates its history while establishing a new destination within OCVIBE.
